Waste Management

WM’s partnership with the Green Idea House is example of our commitment to zero waste and ability to the meet and exceed sustainability and service objectives of our clients. To assist with the project, WM donated  temporary recycling bins  and consultative services to ensure the project planners met their diversion goal-  zero waste. WM was able to recycle 100% of the material –sand, dirt, old wood and concrete–collected from the site.

With our mission of maximizing resource value, WM will guarantee 85 to 100%  diversion of construction and demolition materials, keeping materials such as concrete, porcelain, plastics, tile, lumber, metals, masonry, rock, carpet, and insulation out of the landfill.

As North America’s largest recycler (over 7 million tons of commodities recycled in 2009) and the leading provider of integrated environmental solutions, we partner with our customers and communities to manage and reduce waste from collection to disposal while recovering valuable resources.
