We are honored to recently receive one of the most rigorous building certifications available. The Zero Energy Certification from the International Living Futures Institute’s Living Buildings Challenge is one of the few that uses actual building data to measure performance – and we had six years’ worth of data for them! They were so impressed with our project they also did a case study on their website.
The Living Building Challenge Certification team also let us know that the Green Idea House is the:
- 2nd single family residence in California to certify under the Zero Energy program
- 12th single family residence to certify under the Zero Energy program (anywhere!)
- 15th project in California to certify under any of ILFI’s programs
