Better than Santa’s elves, Building Commissioners Peter Hoffman, PhD and Michael Flaherty braved the elements and their holiday schedules to tour of the Green Idea House today. The Building Commissioners were interested in understanding how we designed and built a Net Zero Energy/Zero Carbon house for less cost than standard construction using off the shelf technologies that are available now.
They shared excellent stories, asked excellent questions and stayed a full 2+ hours so they can bring back to the city information that can help everyone create more comfortable buildings for less money – and help the environment as well!
Santa would be proud of them.
