Mitsubishi i-MiEV is part of a corporate mission to offer consumers more environmentally responsible modes of transportation. This battery-powered electric vehicle technology addresses the need for vehicles that produce zero tailpipe emissions and support a growing agenda for sustainability.

The Green Idea House is a great platform on which to feature new plug in vehicles like the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. It generates more energy than it uses and provides an affordable, net zero energy, zero carbon case study that is perfect to showcase electric vehicle transportation as a positive, real-world look at EV ownership. Collaboration with projects such as these are important in increasing public awareness for electric vehicles, which is still in its early adoption phase.

The 2012 Mitsubishi i, now available in dealerships nationwide, has a starting net price of $21,625 for the well-equipped entry-level ES model (the premium-grade SE version begins at $23,625) after federal tax credit.  It has been rated the #1 most fuel-efficient vehicle in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) 2012 Fuel Economy Guide with a fuel mileage rating of 112 combined/126 city/99 highway MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).
