How would the situation in the Ukraine be different if everyone had a Green Idea House?
by Robert Fortunato on May 2nd, 2014 One Comment

We recently got back from a trip to Croatia and Bosnia.  Incredibly interesting and beautiful places – and it is tragic to see the devastation that man’s inhumanity to man can bring.  The people there are clear that the same thing that happened to them in their brutal civil war 20 years ago was repeating itself in the Ukraine.

The rest of the world seems powerless to do anything economically significant because of Russia’s fossil fuel reserves.  Europe in particular is acutely aware that cutting off that fuel supply will cripple their economies.

What if every country relied on their own clean renewable energy? How differently would the situation in the Ukraine play out?

it would be a huge, huge difference. The energy issue with the Ukraine and Russia has been playing itself out for years. The Ukraine is a key leg in the transport between Russia and Europe. The Russians have been claiming that the Ukrainian’s have been stealing/not paying for gas as it is transported through the country.

Who knows if it is true….!
