Green Building Experts Present at HB City Council Meeting at 7pm Tonight. Charisse Bartholomew Dunn and Dan Thomsen, a couple of the experts who are working on our project, will be giving a short presentation to the City Council at the Mayor’s request.
Charisse and Dan are both instructors with the California Building Performance Contractors Association, Building Performance Institute certified and Build it Green, Green building Professionals.
Charisse is the green point rater for our project. She is principal of Healing Spaces by Design and comes to this as green building consultant with a green designer background. Originally from South Africa, Charisse’s passion for healthy and efficient homes began ten years ago when she became pregnant with her daughter and simultaneously received the news that her Mother was diagnosed with cancer from external toxins. Dan is doing the benchmarking and testing on our project. He is the President and founder of The Building Doctors, a home performance contracting company in Los Angeles. He received a Bachelor of Science at West Virginia University and a Master of Science at NC State University. He is a verified contractor and, is certified through CHEERS® as an existing home rater, and a founding member and on the Board of Directors of Efficiency First, a not for profit trade association for the home performance workforce. dan@thebuildingdoctors.com…
